The symptoms of menopause may inspire awkward conversation in the workplace, but it’s an important conversation that Professor Gavin Jack of Monash University is trying to facilitate.
His research, “Women, work and the menopause”, offers insight into the physical and emotional challenges faced by women experiencing its effects. Jack speaks with HRM TV about mitigating the anxiety and eliminating age-based discrimination.
Jack’s menopause research is also available in the AHRI:ASSIST section of the AHRI website.
I am very interested in this topic, I am a menopause counsellor and coach and the feedback I have had from many of my clients is exactly what Gavin was saying. I would be happy to discuss this further if I can be of any help. My website is http://www.approachingmenopause.com
It is great to know that this information is being put out there.

First time I have seen this raised and think it is fantastic! Well done AHRI
What does a man know about Menopause from experience.
Women should get to a specialist doctor, they may need psychologist and medication as well as time off. Salary Continuance Cover covers this illness at least up to 2 years under the policy conditions.

Unfortunately, all too often it is misunderstood in the workplace and of course depending on the maturity of your supervisor it can… Read more »
