Norfolk Island Regional Council seeks a highly skilled and dynamic HR professional to lead workforce strategies, foster cultural transformation and oversee all HR operations.   • 4 per cent males and 51.6 per cent females with a median age of 50 years
  • 1,220 private dwellings

  • 29 per cent of its population participating in voluntary work during the last 12 months
  • 8 per cent of its population with internet access at home

The Norfolk Island Regional Council commenced 1 July 2016 and consisted of five representatives (Councillors) who were elected for a four-year term. The day-to-day management of Council is the responsibility of the General Manager who currently reports to the Council Lead Administrator, Mr Scott Mason. The General Manager is supported by four portfolio Managers.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Human Resources Manager will lead strategic HR initiatives, implement workforce frameworks, and drive cultural change to align with the Council’s vision. This role is pivotal in optimising HR and WHS systems, supporting workforce development and fostering a positive organisational culture.

We’re looking for a proactive leader with a proven track record in HR management and cultural change. Experience in remote or regional settings is highly desirable, as is the ability to manage diverse responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
